Bach’s St John Passion is one of the greatest of all sacred choral works. Setting the passion narrative in chapters 18 and 19 of St John’s gospel to music of extraordinary dramatic intensity, Bach tells the story with profound insight and conviction.
South Bucks Choral Society will be joined by a team of outstanding young soloists from the Royal Academy of Music, where Iain Ledingham had the privilege of performing over two hundred of Bach’s cantatas in concerts spread over ten years.
