This policy sets out how Amersham Festival of Music uses and protects any information that you give us when you use this website.


Amersham Festival of Music is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (2018). Any personal information that you may provide when using this website will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.


Amersham Festival of Music may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 22nd February 2018.

We may collect the following information but we can only do so if you supply it to us by completing a form on this web site:

 

  • name and e-mail address

  • other contact information including telephone numbers, address and postcode

  • any additional information, for example a question that you wish to ask, that you supply to us voluntarily

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

 

  • Internal record keeping. 

  • We may use the information to improve our products and services. 

  • We may periodically send promotional emails or mailshots about new concerts, special offers and events for Amersham Festival of Music and for other events directed by Iain Ledingham using the email and/or postal address which you have provided.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. 

 

How we use cookies

Purchasing tickets

When purchasing tickets on line you will be directed to our third-party ticket agency who manage this process on behalf of the Festival. The following information entered at the ticket agency’s web site is made available to Amersham Festival of Music after you have completed your ticket purchase:

 

  • Name and address, e-mail and telephone contact details

  • Marketing preferences

  • Tickets purchased and seats allocated

 

This information may be used for future marketing purposes if you have allowed us to do so. This information is however not stored on this web site. We do not store your credit card information. We may use your contact details to provide further information about any event that you have booked (eg arrival instructions or any changed arrangements).

 

Please note that when purchasing tickets any information that you enter in to the ticket agency’s web site is also governed by the privacy policy on their web site.

 

Photography at concerts

We may occasionally take photographs during our concerts or other events. Such photographs may sometimes incidentally include members of the audience – for instance in the background behind a performer. By purchasing a ticket and attending our concerts you agree that should you be included within such a photograph then we may publish this on our web site and use it for publicity and promotional purposes. 

 

Links to other websites

Our website may contain links to other websites that we consider may be of interest to you. Once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You may wish to exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

 

Controlling your personal information

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways:

Friends’ Scheme
Amersham Festival Society holds the following information about its members (hereafter called Friends):-

 

  • Names

  • Postal addresses

  • Email addresses (when provided)

  • Telephone numbers (when provided)

  • Bank Account details for the purposes of subscription collection

  • Gift Aid application forms for Friends.

 

This information is held for the purposes of operating the Friends’ scheme. It is updated annually.


We understand that it our responsibility to protect this information. We have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.  Only 2 people hold this information: the Friends’ Secretary and the Treasurer.


We have checked that the processing is necessary and there is no less intrusive way to achieve the same result.


We have done a balancing test, and are confident that the individual’s interests do not override those legitimate interests.


We only use individuals’ data in ways they would reasonably expect, unless we have a very good reason.


We will offer Friends the opportunity to withdraw from membership annually when subscriptions are renewed. If they choose to do this their data will be deleted.


We do not share this information with third parties.


Postal mailing list
We hold the following information:-

 

  • Names

  • Postal addresses

  • Email addresses (when provided)

  • Telephone numbers (when provided)


This information is held for the purpose of informing people about Amersham Festival of Music events and Iain Ledingham events.


This information has been supplied by the individuals when they applied to be on our mailing list.


Individuals may unsubscribe at any point by contacting Amersham Festival of Music through the website or by information provided in the mailing.


The existing mailing was compiled in 2014 to include only those people who had purchased tickets since from 2014 onwards. These names were obtained from ticket sales through TicketSource  and personal application to join the mailing list received by paper copy or emails. Names and any data held before that time was deleted. 

 

We understand that it our responsibility to protect this information. We have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.  The festival administrator holds this information.

 

We have checked that the processing is necessary and there is no less intrusive way to achieve the same result.
 

We have done a balancing test, and are confident that the individual’s interests do not override those legitimate interests.

 

 

Bursary Scheme

Amersham Festival Society holds the following information:

 

  • Names

  • Postal addresses

  • Email addresses

  • Telephone numbers

  • Bank account information (when provided)

 

This information is held for the purposes of operating the Bursary scheme. It is updated annually.

 

We understand that it our responsibility to protect this information. We have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.  The Chairman, Treasurer and Bursary Secretary have access to this information. We have checked that the processing is necessary and there is no less intrusive way to achieve the same result.

 

We have done a balancing test, and are confident that the individual’s interests do not override those legitimate interests.

 

We do not share this information with third parties.
