Our second online concert is a Song Recital performed by Nia Coleman, accompanied by Iain Ledingham. As some of you may recall, Nia is a professional soprano and actress of rare ability and she and Iain have a wonderful rapport. The recital includes glorious songs by Grieg, Debussy, Britten and Handel, along with haunting melodies from the Argentinian composer Guastavino, interspersed with piano solos by Bach, Debussy (Clair de Lune) and John Ireland. Nia and Iain introduce the music along with the remarkable poems set by these composers.
