Following their sell out concert in April, The Ronnie Scott’s All Stars are back from London’s world-famous jazz club to present a celebration of perhaps the most significant and popular composer of modern times: George Gershwin.
‘Outstanding players. For poise, balance and swing they’re a joy to listen to.’
THE OBSERVER
‘Full-on brilliance.’
THE GUARDIAN
Gershwin once said 'When I’m in my normal mood, music drips from my fingers' and it’s easy to see why. With numbers such as ‘Summertime’, ‘Someone to Watch Over Me’, ‘I Got Rhythm’ and ‘Rhapsody in Blue’, his music forms an essential plank of the ‘Great American Songbook’, as well as representing some of the finest and most influential musical works of the Twentieth Century.
In this, the Centenary year of Gershwin’s seminal composition, ‘Rhapsody in Blue’, and led by the Club’s musical director, The Ronnie Scott’s All Stars take you on a guided tour of Gershwin’s incredible library of music. Featuring a sparkling collection of his most popular numbers, alongside some of his lesser-known gems, this will be a truly world-class evening of music, and is a ‘must-see’ for any music fan. Book early to avoid disappointment!
