IAIN LEDINGHAM  (conductor)

For many people the Marriage of Figaro is the greatest and most lovable of all Mozart’s operatic masterpieces. Based on Beaumarchais’ play Le Mariage de Figaro the opera depicts a day in the life of the Count and Countess Almaviva in some of the most memorable and life-enhancing music ever written.

We are delighted to welcome back the hugely talented director Katherine Bond who has worked for English Touring Opera, the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester, and at the Royal Opera House. Her previous memorable productions for the Amersham Festival have included Cosi fan Tutte, Semele, The Barber of Seville, Dido and Aeneas.

An outstanding cast of very talented young singers from the Royal Academy of Music join our splendid Amersham Festival Chamber Orchestra.
