Symphony No.9 (Choral) |
Beethoven |
Academic Festival Overture |

Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, with its magnificent choral finale setting
Schiller’s “Ode to Joy”, is one of the greatest experiences which music
has to offer. The symphony progresses from the dark turbulence and
titanic struggle of the opening movements via the other–worldly serenity
of the great Adagio to the profoundly uplifting joy of the finale.
We are
thrilled to be able to promote this very special occasion in the history of
the Festival for which the Festival Chamber Orchestra will be substantially
enlarged and joined by the South Bucks Choral Society and a superb
quartet of soloists.
Tickets: £20 (Hall or Balcony), £16 (Back five rows of Hall)
