Event: Friday 9 April 2010 at 8.00pm
St James’ Church Centre,
Oxford Road, Gerrards Cross
with

ANA SCHWEDHELM (soprano) and IAIN LEDINGHAM (piano)
Join us to celebrate the opening of the 2010 Festival in party mood, with a
programme of great American and English songs by Gershwin, Cole Porter,
Rogers and Hart etc., along with hauntingly evocative South American
music by Guastavino and Piazzolla.
Mexican soprano Ana Schwedhelm is well known to Amersham Festival
audiences as an exceptionally talented singer of classical repertoire. She also has the ability, rare
among classical singers, to perform lighter music in a totally stylish and natural way. Ana and
Iain performed a similar programme to a packed house at Pizza on the Park in London last year
and we look forward to welcoming you to an evening of brilliant and very tuneful entertainment
in the splendid setting of the new St James’ Church Centre.
The audience will be seated at tables. Wine, Italian antipasti, bread and cheese will be served.
Tickets: £25 (to include wine and a selection of antipasti & cheese). Please attach a covering note to the booking form if you wish to be seated with another group who are ordering separately, as tables will be reserved (8 per table).
