We welcome back the outstanding young Mexican soprano Ana Schwedhelm to join Iain Ledingham in a rich and colourful programme of English, German, French, Italian and American song – including one of Schumann’s greatest works, the Liederkreis Opus 39 to poetry by Eichendorff, Poulenc’s hauntingly beautiful Fiancailles pour rire, and some of the glorious love songs by Fauré, Tosti and Gershwin.
