Event: Friday 6 February at 8.00pm

St Mary’s Parish Church,
Old Amersham

Cancelled due to the Snow

We regret that because of the very bad snow forecast our musicians, some of whom travel a long distance to take part, feel it is would be too risky to attempt the journey. The concert is therefore cancelled, as is the Friends' Party afterwards.

Ticket refunds may be obtained by sending the tickets with a stamped addressed envelope to...

Bach’s Orchestral Suites are a wonderful synthesis of his unique contrapuntal inventiveness with the elegance and charm of the French Dance Suite. Scored for strings, oboes and bassoon the First Suite is a work of enduring charm and richness. The sumptuously scored Brandenburg Concerto No 1 combines strings horns and woodwind to tremendous effect. The Water Music Suite in F, composed to please Handel’s royal patron, is full of wonderful melodies and infectiously joyful rhythms and includes the famous Air and Hornpipe along with many other delightful pieces.

Tickets: £16, £13, £8
