We welcome back the outstanding young Mexican soprano Ana Schwedhelm to join Iain Ledingham in a rich and colourful programme of German, French, American and Argentinian song – including three of Mozart’s finest Lieder, one of Schumann’s greatest works, the Liederkreis Opus 39 to poetry by Eichendorff, Poulenc’s hauntingly beautiful Fiancailles pour rire, some of the lovely flower songs by Argentinian composer Guastavino and a selection of great Gershwin songs.
