This highly talented group of young players offers a delightful and varied programme including Elgar’s magnificent Introduction and Allegro and Bach’s elegant first orchestral suite. Their conductor, the violinist Peter Hanson, is also well known as a leader of both modern and period instrument orchestras, including Sir John Eliot Gardiner’s “Orchestre Romantique et Revolutionaire”. His outstanding work with young string players is well known locally through the concerts of the Chiltern Youth Chamber Orchestra which he directs.
