Choir and Soloists from the
ROYAL ACADEMY OF MUSIC
AMERSHAM FESTIVAL CHAMBER ORCHESTRA
Iain Ledingham (Conductor)
Bach’s B minor Mass is, for many, the supreme choral work and this performance by singers from The Royal Academy of Music with our own Festival Chamber Orchestra (well known for their polished and incisive playing of the baroque repertoire) will be the highlight of our 2008 Festival. A Choir of 20 solo singers will also share the wonderful arias and duets. Performance of this work by relatively small–scale forces brings us close to Bach’s original intentions and enables the listener to appreciate the complexity and unending vitality of the music with particular clarity.
Tickets: £18, £15
