Fiammetta Tarli
Iain Ledingham and Fiammetta Tarli will be playing on Fazioli grand pianos
Bach made keyboard versions of several of his string and woodwind concertos. This programme presents two of his best loved double concertos (the Concerto for Two Violins and the Concerto for Violin and Oboe) in the highly attractive and rarely heard versions for Two Pianos. Iain Ledingham is joined by the very gifted young Italian pianist Fiammetta Tarli in these works and, for good measure, in Mozart’s glorious Sonata for Two Pianos – one of the peaks of the two piano repertoire. The strings of the orchestra complete the programme with two very accessible 20th century works by Tippett and Britten.
