Iain Ledingham (pianist/conductor)
Iain Ledingham will be playing on a Fazioli grand piano
We begin the season with a superb all–Mozart programme, contrasting his delightful first Symphony (composed in London when Mozart was eight years old) with one of his greatest achievements – the magisterial “Jupiter” Symphony. A rare opportunity of hearing his first and last symphonies in the same programme will reveal a haunting theme from the slow movement of Symphony No 1, which reappears as the main theme of the great fugal finale of No 41. We also include one of the finest piano concertos from the great series composed in Vienna in the 1780s.
Tickets: £16, £13, £8
This concert is made possible by a generous bequest from the Lascelles estate
