AMERSHAM FESTIVAL CHAMBER ORCHESTRA

In anticipation of our production of Don Giovanni (in our April 2007 Amersham Festival of Music) we open this concert with the celebrated Overture. The Concerto for Flute and Harp, a delightful combination, is a work of sensuous beauty, a real treat for the ears. We are delighted to welcome two distinguished soloists well-known to Festival audiences. The programme concludes with Beethoven's glorious Symphony No 2 in D major, a work of great exhuberance and orchestral virtuosity.
